Vanishing Train

My first attempt with the solarize option in Photoshop...

K200 - DA 40mm Limited - Tripod w/o flash

F22 -- ISO 100 - Exposure 8.0 sec.

Interesting effect.
Not my cup of tea, but different and dramatic.

Anyway the first image is after and the second image is before processing...

I checked for dirt using the "Dust Alert Feature of the K200D, and did not see any. I do wonder though, does the soloarize effect increase the visibility of dirt?

I like the way the train was captured, perfect timing, personally dont like the solarize effect tho, but thats a matter of taste

Thank you all for kind comments.

The photo was taken at the Rockville, MD Metro station facing south, The Metro Train (on the right), slowly pulled away from the station while an Amtrak Train approached on the left. The exposure time was sufficiently long so that the Metro train removed away to give a clear view of the church steeple in the distance. Yes a busy photo.....
