I'm not usually a sports shooter, but got invited to shoot a hockey game by the university news editor. One of the shots might be published if the article passed, so I'm looking forward to it

The Mooseheads lost 2-5... they still have a long way to go indeed.

Who says Pentax can't shoot sports?

The ones that are farther (the one-two people closeups) are K100D+DA 50-200 (ISO 1600), the ones closer are K10+Tammy 28-75 (Tav mode with ISO 400-1000). If it's the K20D I might opt to use the 50-200 on the K20D insead; the 5.6 @200 is just too slow for k10D. People often say that K10D isn't better than K100D in focusing but I find it very much snappier. Perhaps not as good as K-7 but it's still somewhat better.

Nice series. Having shot a game or two I think a rink is one of the hardest places to shoot. Poor lightening, white ice , fast erratic moving subjects. well done.

Today I went to shoot some football for the same newspaper... I don't think the shots were as good... didnt spend half as much time there though

I agree.
All the photos are great, but the last one is a stand out for me. B&W and grain works very well.
