New (to me at least) Tamron 70-300mm · 09:32 PM

Picked up the lens of eBay last week. Here are some quick photos I've taken with it.

(Went to the zoo today, so will have more pics later)

C&C welcome as I'm still learning how to shoot well with a long lens. Hope you guys enjoy!

Those guys were way in the back of the exhibit. Tough shot, with the distance and low light due to tree cover.

Nice shots, i especially like the shot of the gibbon, and the ocelot? i think, hehe < the cat lounging in the tree >

Nice shots! I too love the cat "hanging out". How does the lens handle?

I was actually quite impressed in the lens. It feels good in your hands (a reflection of build quality), and has a decent AF. In macro I did notice quite a bit of searching, so I'm having to work on my manual focusing skills (still a noob). For $90 shipped, I'm not complaining.

Which version is it? I have the 70-300 LD DI, but really haven't used it much yet

It's the LD, but pre-DI.
