Landscape The Lake District

Just back from an overnight stay in the Lake District in England and managed to get some landscape shots whilst I was there. It was cold and dark this morning, but I dragged myself out of bed for some 30 second exposures and water wading.

I hope you like them, as always the large versions are on my Flickr. Planning to get some canvas prints done!

Beautiful images, I believe I have seen that region in a photo magazine out of Europe. Looks like a beautiful area, Thank you for sharing. JIM

Aww, absolutely spectacular.
The shimmering sea and subdued sky as a backdrop to a beautifully lit jetty works like a charm.
Excellent!
Some of these, esp. the first one, should go to PPG.

Couldn't find your Flickr collection, though.

Wow. Gorgeous series. I feel like I did some traveling today. The lake series was worth your loss of sleep.

Great series! I like the boat shots the best, but they are all very good.

Loved these photos. The top is my favorite but I also really like #8. Beautiful. I lived in London for 2 years and have visited England a lot but I never made it to the Lake District. Maybe someday. It was worth you getting up and facing the cold. Thanks for posting these.

Genuinely elegant series; I don't know how you got this "look", but wish I did. These shots also remind us of the great images that can be captured on a cloudy day.
