Some More Bird shots
Posted By: Photo Tramp, 11-15-2006, 05:54 PM

I had nothing to do today, so I decided to bait the porch rail again and see what I could shoot. I think some of the shots came out very well considering the lens (DA 50-200mm) wasn't enough to get the right close ups and the FA 600 would be way to much overkill for the short distance from the door to the rear of the deck. I'm going to look into a 70-210mm or a 100-300mm lens soon. Let me know what you think.

Hope you enjoy.

Good Shooting.
Cheers: David

Dude, you have an FA 600? Did you win the lottery or something?

Thank You Jon, & kitanis,

The DA 50-200mm is a very good lens when the photographer using it gets the ISO set right in the camera. I found I had it set on 800 thats the reason for the noise I'm not very happy with the shots or my lack of good camera handling. (I must be getting very old).
Thanks again for the kind words.
Good Shooting.
Cheers: David

You captured some nice bird photos. I know sometimes when I first use the camera, I sometimes forget to check the settings. So shooting at a higher ISO then needed, happens! The bluejay shots are my favorite.
