Vivitar 100mm f3.5 obligatory first photos

Vivitar 100mm f3.5 obligatory first photos · 12:43 PM

A knock at the door about 30 minutes ago found the post office delivering my Vivitar (Phoenix, promaster etc.) 100mm f3.5 macro. Like any good PentaxForums member, I immediately put it on the camera and took some test shots:

ISO 400, 1/125, f8.0, onboard flash

ISO 400, 1/90, f11, no flash

ISO 400 1/125, f11, external flash

Comments welcome, as always.

nice Chris. It's really not that bad of a lens, especially for the money!

I should get mine out again - I've been neglecting it.

Thanks for the comments. It is an excellent lens for the money, and may even be a nice second macro for travelling, as it is compact and light compared to most. As for the owner of the nose, it belongs to this little lady:
