Photowalk in the park
Posted By: causey, 10-15-2009, 06:13 PM

1. She's Gisela, an Argentinian fellow grad student of my wife. Gisela had two photo exhibitions in Buenos Aires and one in Paris. Her bag is full of funny old cameras with very uncommon names (e.g., Diana (?)). Most of them look like toys--the one in the first pic is entirely plastic--and tend to fall apart. The closest thing she has to a 'real' camera is a 30 years old Canon slr. Gisela told me, "if you know how to use crappy cameras, you'll know how to use a very good one." (But it's my firm belief she's never going to shoot a very good camera.)

2.

3. Wife

4. Blurry wife--a mistake, but kind of like it.

Stefan:

The sharpness in the first shot of Gisela is amazing: which lens is showing off?

You have a very attractive wife: the 2 juxtaposed shots capture at least 2, different sides.

Oh come on now, the first rule of marriage applies here: it is only a mistake if she says it is. LOL

Thanks, Ernest. Pentax M 50mm 1.7 is the name of the lens I used for all these shots (including the long Arnold Arboretum series). The only lens left before receiving the new copy of the Tammy 17-50mm (which is in course of examination).

If that's the first rule of marriage, then I'm one mistake after another...
