And the journey continues.....
Posted By: Heinrich Lohmann, 05-29-2007, 06:37 PM

We left the Icefields Parkway and headed west on Hyw. #1. (Trans Canada Highway)

The scenery changed to something less wintery

Note the train coming out of one tunnel only to enter a another one.

Just east of Golden, B.C. the road is under heavy construction. My wife took this picture through the tinted car window with her Pani TZ1. Any other time you wait for construction, not this time and no where to pull over.

At Rogers Pass it was late winter again

We stopped in Revelstoke, B.C. for the night and there were actual live flowers on the grounds of the hotel.

Tomorrow we will visit The Enchanted Forest

simply beautiful country Heinrich. Thanks for sharing. Is that some sort of highway under construction (#3)? It looks like some sort of cranes on top.

Thank you Dan, and yes that is where the highway is going to be. They are building a bridge right across the valley.

Take care, Heinrich

Thank you Ole and do make that trip. The best time for me is in the fall when the heat of summer fades and the leaves turn golden. (before the snow flies)

Take care, Heinrich

I'm so impressed by your landscapes Heinrich! You have an eye for the beauty outside of the house and it shows in every wonderful shot you take of the mountains and other earthly structures. I've been trying to get out of my bubble and try landscapes, but can never compose much since I get my attention snagged by a butterfly floating by Great work and hope to see more of your adventures!

A very nice series again Heinrich.

The last with the flowers, I donīt know their english name, really caught my eye. Iīve taken some pictures of the likes in Norway but the color in this shot is very nice.

Looking forward to the next one.

Love the 2nd one. The little rapids in the foreground, and the train in the background add a lot of visual interest to the photograph.
