The weather was perfect this weekend for one more hike in the Owyhee desert canyons. I think you'll like these.

Fine captures.
I like #3 for its interesting foreground.
A little overexposed in the sky in these, but not bad considering they're not HDR.

I like them a lot. Did you use a polarizer? I can see a set of ND grad filters in your future, they really help in those conditions.

Thank you for the reply. Actually I didn't use the polarizer or the ND filter this time. I probably should have. I'm still learning the ropes, so I know I have a long way to go before I am comfortable with knowing what to use where and when. I did just take my 5,000th photo this weekend!! I did have to do quite a bit of pp to make the photos appear as they do in the field. The lighting made it difficult at times.

I believe that most of us here are still learning the ropes, some of us are just on different set of ropes. I just recently bought my ND filter set, and struggle with when it's right and which one to use. But it's fun learning, and boy am I glad I'm not shooting film during this learning curve.

Hope you don't mind Dan, i'm gonna add a few of my pics from our hike. You got some pretty nice shots out there and hopefully mine don't repeat what you posted. I am only hoping to add to the experience for everyone to see what they are missing by not visiting southern Idaho.

I don't know, I just like the feel of this shot.

Still fairly early so the lighting isnt the greatest, but I like the feel.

WAHOO! A chance to get out and use the Fisheye. I am loving this lens more and more!

I love the clouds above this outcropping.
