Rough Tor Panorama
Posted By: Graham V, 10-20-2009, 09:36 AM

This is a hand held 6 shot panorama of the sunrise at Rough Tor on Bodmin Moor.
Most shots I've seen here isolate the rocks, I wanted to place it in it's setting with the orange and browns of the moorland.

c&c more than welcome

I like the various features held at a distance such as the lake. The sky came out nice but I thought the ground had a real color cast issue with green rocks but since the sky is ok I guess not. My biggest issue is that I spend so much time setting up and leveling my tripod for pano shots when all I really needed was to bring you along to hold the camera. Great stitching considering hand held. I dont see any issues at this small size. What software did you use?

I also think this is a great job. I really like the comp and how the stack of rocks along the right edge help fill in the area where the sky loses its interest. Great balanced exposure..

Just used the freebie Autostitch

Re-edited the shot as the white balance was off
Think it looks a little more natural now

Ah, nice improvement.
A fine scene - still a little dark given the conditions, but a little dodging could fix that.
