Deep Sky Stacker 1st Try
Posted By: jezza323, 10-21-2009, 03:47 PM

Was out camping on the weekend, about 2hrs west of Brisbane (Goomburra for those interested). There was an amazing number of stars visible, so I tried some images for stacking.

This is 8 RAWs shot with the K200D & DA 18-55mm AL II, 18mm, f4.0, ISO 1600, 10 secs ea. Stacked using DeepSkyStacker

Quite happy with it for a first try. Next time i will try to get some more!

You've done remarkably well with this stack.
Stars have all come up brilliantly.
With a more interesting foreground this would be an awesome capture.

To me, it looks like the pic was painted on canvas.I like it!Doesn't look like there were any streetlights around to spoil this shot.Great first attempted jezza!!

I agree. It looks like you've mastered the star stacking. Now that the experimentation stage is over, go find something even cooler for a subject, and report back here.

I am new to DeepSkyStacker but I know a masterpiece when I see one. That is a beautiful shot you have there.
