Both new to me. It was a crappy, overcast day but I still got some ok stuff.

What struck me first was the interesting flare in #6.
#8 is a fine shot.
Looks like you had fun with that lens today...

Appears as if the sunlight was partially blocked by the hood (image top right) and flared over the rest of the frame.
You didn't happen to have a filter on the lens?

I would say the flare has been added PP, correct me if I am wrong

When I looked at #1 I wondered if that was Santa Fe, and #2 with the monument confirmed it. Of course a few more down and it was obvious. I was there probably 12 years ago or so. I also liked the last image, looks like you had a good test drive.

Can someone tell me if this lens covers a full frame sensor?

The reason I ask is that currently I have the Sigma 10-20mm which is 15-30mm in the 35mm format, but Sigma do a 12-24mm that does cover a full frame but it's not that great in the resolution stakes. The distortions of this lens look pretty much the same as the Sigma 10-20mm (rectilinear), and the resolution figures over on Photozone are very impressive from f/8 to f/11, so this lens would suit me down to the ground and replace my APS-C Sigma 10-20mm if Pentax ever released a full frame body.

So with that in mind, does it cover a full frame?

Thanks! The last one is a heavy crop, obviously, but a needed one.

Yep, Santa Fe and the surrounding area is a real gift for the photographer. So much lovely scenery.

Like I said above, entirely natural flare. Just a weird combination of angle and sunlight, I guess. Here's a b&w conversion of the same shot:

Bah, gutted

- this would have been the perfect landscaping lens for me with an eye to the future and full frame capability.

Well, the resale value on this lens is through the roof. I'd recommend getting it and using it anyway and upgrading if/when the time comes.

Some of the shots need a proper subject and others seem too wide, including a fair amount of uninteresting foreground... the curse of the wide angle.

I agree with the others that the flare shot is incredible!

I also like the cafe, #9, although the canopy gets in the way. A slightly different angle to get less of the black underside of the canopy in frame would be better.

I agree with the others that the flare shot is incredible! I also like the cafe, #9, although the canopy gets in the way. A slightly different angle to get less of the black underside of the canopy in frame would be better. Thanks for sharing!
