Bigma warbirds
Posted By: jthommo, 10-25-2009, 03:11 AM

I recently got me a bigma to shoot little birdies - but tested it out on big birdies first. These were taken at Temora, NSW, Australia, home of the only two airworthy Spitfires in the country. Hope you enjoy.

And finally, two Boomerangs.

Really well captured and no matter how often you see them, They are beautiful planes. I particularly like #3 and 4. All are nice sharp images and well exposed. Great job.

They certainly are wonderful machines, Peter. Half way through the display I put the camera down and just watched (and listened). Glorious.

Good captures of these guys on the move in the air.
The last 3 are indeed noce.
A little overexposed in #2.
But otherwise nice.

I know the Mustang has its adherents but to my mind the Spitfire has to be the most beautiful propeller driven airplane ever built. We have one on static display here in Waterloo but its just not the same. Thanks for sharing.

Tom, my favorite is the P51 mustang, but i got to tell you, after seeing that first image i am starting to doubt myself...what sexy beasts these are...

P.S: Thommo, I just had to click again to take a peak at that first image and saw Tom's comment...I very rarely feel the need to come back to a thread to see the image again, not even with what devisor posts

Thanks everyone. I am impressed with the Bigma, it's sharper than I had hoped and grabbed focus well on these rapidly moving machines.

And the P-51 is a lovely aircraft also...I don't have any in flight though.
