I didn't get down into Yosemite Valley the other day, but I plan on heading there later this week - I did find some nice color around Siesta Lake and some nice aspens near Crane Flat...
All shots with the K-7, ISO 200 (highlight protection or whatever that mode is called). All processed to various extents in Lr (I just upgraded to ver. 2 from 1.4, so the processing might have gotten out of hand - all those new tools
)...
1. Dogwood leaves...
DA*16-50mm @ 50mm, f/4 (this one's ISO 400)
2. Reflections...
DA* 300mm, f/4 (distracted by my son, forgot to stop down for landscape after shooting ducks
)
3.
Tamron 70-200mm @ 200mm, f/7.1 (
)
4.
Tamron 70-200mm @ 115mm, f/7.1
5.
A three shot pano of Siesta Lake (
click to see a very large version)
DA* 16-50mm @ 16mm, f/8. Stitched with Hugin
6.
Aspens in the Crane Flat area.
DA* 16-50mm @ 16mm, f/4
7.
Two bracketed frames with the DA* 16-50mm @ 16mm, f/5, blended with Enfuse (HDR).
I paid a lot of attention to the dynamic range of this last shot, since I knew I was going to HDR it. On my monitor, this is a pretty close approximation of what I saw at the time.
