NSFW Why I love my Sigma 28 1.8 (nipple test)
Posted By: ramair455, 10-30-2009, 11:29 AM

As requested last week from a forum member. This is the this is first macro test shot I did (I'm no macro shooter) when I first received my Sigma 28mm F1.8 EX DG ASPHERICAL MACRO.

First I must say that contrary to popular belief, taking low light macro shots of nipples isn't as easy as it sounds, as this was my first attempt. Its really hard the get your (now exgirlfriend) subject to be still and cooperative with a camera, with a short fat lens, inches from their breasts.

She asks, "why do you want to take pics of my nips?"
My reply, "cause I can "

As you can see the Sigma demonstrates excellent off-center sharpness @ f2, excellent detail in the nipple, and nice bokeh. Note the soft milky like out-of-focus nipple less than a foot in the background.

Thanks guys for all of the compliments on the "nipple" capture. I really just posted it to brag about the quality of the Sigma lens...not the quality of the shot
I thought about using the pentax 50 1.4, but this was more up close and personal. The camera-to-nipple distance was just an arms length away.

I must admit after digging up this image, it has rekindled some old memories. is it just me, or do you tend to forget about the "bad" things about your ex, and only remember the good.

I feel that a comparison is in order, with every lens available. Please share the results.

Very nice shot! Just curious how it looks in color (particularly the bokeh). And shame things didn't work out for you two.

The Sigma hit the right spot for focus and depth of field.

I don't forget about the bad things, they get stronger and stronger for a while until I have a new relation and then both the good and the bad memories starts to fade away. Now, my memories are pretty neutral, I remember some happy things.....the rest is like a high key portrait with a lot of gaussian blur applied....

But I think it's difficult for you to forget about the good things if you keep looking on images like this.

Nice photo, BTW.

Great Capture, It works very good. I doubt you would have got the same FX in a warmer room.
