Well done, John. Was that where we went for a walk a few weeks ago?

Richard, try right out my window on Dryburgh Street. Yep they were a treat Ash. We have the resident rainbow lorikeets but the black cockatoos visit has to be a one off. Ocassionally we'll get galahs, eastern rosellas and sulphur cresteds.

We get these yellow tailed black cockatoos around Canberra too, they started to appear around the suburbs more frequently after the 2003 bushfires when their usual habitat (pine plantations) were burnt out. They've got quite a prehistoric sounding call, did you hear it?

The call is what alerted us to them. This hmmm that's not the usual bird noises, time for a look see and there they were.
