The Milk Market in Limerick was first opened in 1852 and closed in its original form on Saturday 31 October 2009. It will be refurbished for six months with a roof and other amenities. I wonder if it will ever be the same?

In the meantime the vendors will be moving to Ellen Street. These are photos from the last day of operations.

I'm experimenting with some new post-processing techniques in these shots, in order to bring out a certain antique sense of detail. I used the DA12-24 and DA55-300 plus the FA77 for the first shot.
