Well today we were lucky enough to have a 'fly-in' of old 'planes in Perth, AU.
Airshows and this sort of thing seems to be quite rare over here...

The fly-in was held in memory of Nancy Bird-Walton, a pioneering Aussie female pilot.

Nice shots. Capturing the entire plane on some of your wide angle shots(the ends of the wings are cutoff) would have been more interesting especially the airforce plane(or warbird/ fighter) you captured. Other than that good pics and the use of B/W on the car shot was cool. Plane flying is a great shot.

res - thanks, I get your point. I took plenty of photos with the whole plane/s, but I think I was less happy with how those turned out. Saying that, I'll add a few to this thread:

Love how the 55-300 renders the OOF areas wide open.

I was pleasently surprised by the 55-300 in #2, I almost never shoot it wide open at 300mm!
Basically because it's a fair bit sharper around F8, and that's usually what I want.

It's really quite a versatile lens.
