Nature Ok, Its a Heron!!!

Ok, Its a Heron!!! · 04:08 PM

These guys are killing me. I waited 1.5 hours for him to catch a fish, in the pouring rain and this is all he got. The other two were taking during the wait, along with about 125 others. Low light conditions. This were shot at a 1000 ISO, F 4.0 at between 160 t0 250 shutter speed. The last one I believe is another Kildeer but if not can someone confirm? Cheers JIM

your patience is inspiring !! and the results, well worth it......wonderful pics.. i wish i could get closer to the few herons we have here in rhode island..... they're very skiddish.. or it could when they get a good look at my kisser....

Thank you, It took awhile to figure out how to get close. Walking never worked for me but the car they seem to get use to. Limits my area but at least I get closer. JIM

I really enjoy the heron shots. I've seen a great deal of Great Blue herons and have yet to photograph one, I suppose I should probably try my hand at grabbing a few one of these days, eh?
