A sneaked portrait during the dress up of a wedding.
Any particular version appeals more than others?

Colour:

B&W

That's nice Ash. I like the B&W one in the middle the best.

Good shot - also prefer the b&w shot in the middle best.

Thanks to you both.
This surprises me a little - didn't expect this B&W conversion to get the thumbs up.

I like the B&W as well! I think it puts the focal point more on the face.

The title spoils it for me Ash, I'm getting an impression of mischief not shyness.
I like the B&W best, the dark area makes a nice natural vignette.
I would consider making it a square head and shoulder crop personally, her hand is competing with her beautiful face and smile. You would also get rid of that night light (looks like) stuck to the top of her arm.

You're right Gary - her personality doesn't come through in this portrait. She was very camera-shy at the time.

But head and shoulder it is... other minor details will be done later...

She's really cute. I like the B&W best.

Like Gary said, I'd get rid of the light or whatever that is by her arm. Also the ding in the wall.

And maybe crop a little more to emphasize her cute face? (I do like her hand in the shot, though).

Thanks flipped.
I didn't pay enough attention to that ding on the door frame.
Appreciate that.

B&W only because it did hide the TV or monitor in the background more. Now that you got rid of it, the B&W lost something, IMO but what do I know! JIM

Thanks for the comment Jim.
I also don't mind the full length, but I'll burn the background highlight out a little more...

I prefer the full length middle B&W one.
no reason I can explain other than gut feeling. I definitely don't like the cropped one, however. I like seeing the arm in there better.

Thanks Dan.
Perhaps it helps that she has an attractive figure too...

I think with the hand cropped out, it becomes "just" a portrait.

With the hand there, there is more "personality" to the shot - a young lady peeking around a doorway.

Just my (devalued) $.02.

I like the color version myself. With the monitor and ding fixed. You can try steaming out the ding. Wait. That only works on the wood itself not a photo.

Are the doors down in your parts really thin? Looks like it in the photo.
