figures i was walkin' about, looking to shoot some flora, and this guy was right over my head.... did the best i could do with my pentax fa100mm f3.5...

and.... i was SO embarrassed as this heron 'flashed' me...lol...
extreme 300mm shots.....

and... snuck up from behind him.... also at 300mm...

Impressive! I've caught herons in that yoga position but this is the first time I've seen it recorded by someone else. I'm told it's a thermo-regulation thing.

I can't believe the eagle was done with a 100mm!
the 'comedy' of the herons is pretty cool, thanks for sharing
