Into the SNOW
Posted By: cb750r, 11-09-2009, 09:53 AM

These are some shots from yesterdays adventure to find the snowline!

Green Lake, Whistler BC with what I think is Wedge mountain in the background

Top of the 3000ft ascent up the Duffey Lake rd, to find the snow!

Joffre Lakes is 3 lakes fed by the Joffre Glacier, this is the river from the middle lake to the lower lake

I really need to work out decent Snow settings for my KM, it made a lot of dingy grey shots of crisp white snow. How does the second attempt look?

Thanks Gary, it was a nice day to play outside, I've got a ton more to process, as in my above post I shot a lot of Grey snow yesterday...

Thanks, Its miserably rainy in Vancouver, I had to drive over 2 hours to get there... but it was worth the trip!

You've got some nice shots posted yourself.

Absolutely lovely shots, makes me yearn for that 1st significant snow fall.

Well done with these.
The last 2 of the first series and the last one of the second are brilliant captures.
What a gorgeous environment to behold!

The second shot is a very good composition, it has a lot of 'life' in it. By that I mean that it is very dynamic and sucks the viewer in.
