Squirrely Portraits
Posted By: LaRee, 06-05-2007, 10:36 AM

I haven't really shared many photos here and I'd like to change that. While out walking with my k10d and bigma lens (Sigma 50-500) I came across this fella that came very close to me. I think he was looking for a hand out.

I hate when a fly lands on my whiskers.

Oh I am so bored...

And a BIG old crop to show this guy needs a toothbrush!

LaRee,

Nice series. Ground squirrel or tree squirrel?

Looks like he's been through the washing machine a few times

Laree - those are great!

Where've you been hiding? "Squirreled away" somewhere?

That last shot is so funny! A little dental floss, maybe?

That 'tree rat' looks possessed!

This is a ground squirrel and yes it did look a bit tattered. It has a notch out of one ear and boy do those teeth need a good brushing.

Thanks for the comments

I appreciate the replies. I am sure this guy thought I was going to feed him, he got pretty close. Small little squirrel that I had fun with. I didn't *need* my bigma on at the time but it seems to work well throughout the focal length which is nice.
Again, thanks for the replies!
