Pieces of the 1904 Worlds Fair Saved for everyone to enjoy!

Forest Park has undergone a multi-year and mult-million dollar restoration to save the park and structures from the 1904 Worlds Fair!

Looks like a lovely place to walk through and relax in.
Perfectly manicured lawns make the photo too neat for my liking!

It's great they've preserved this but I have to agree with Ash--those vast expanses of grass are boring. Some shrubs, small trees and flowers would really help (and are preferred from an environmental pov as well.)

The reason they don't put trees or shrubs in is that in the winter time this turns into a huge snow sledding attraction. They call this area Art Hill. It's a real blast in the winter time.

The images would be great, especially the first one, if you got closer to your subject. That shot makes me want to see the building in all its detail.

I do have one much closer that I think came out great. I'm saving it for next months post (your favorite shot), it's a close up with a full reflection in the pond.

I was just at the Art Museum ( and zoo ) on 11-6, where is that building in the 1st shot? Looks interesting.

The first picture is the Jewel Box. The easiest way to find is to enter the park from the new Hampton entrance and follow the signs. It's not far from the zoo entrance.
