Sunset over Opheusden
Posted By: Rense, 11-14-2009, 09:40 AM

Went out this afternoon to shoot some sunsets. I ended in the riverbed of the River Rhine, near the village of Opheusden. Both captures are made with the SMC-Takumar 200/4 wide open with a Cokin P121L filter.

Hope you like them!

Rense, I may have cropped a whole bunch off the left side to make the birds the focus within the shot. JIM

You have a winner in #1, and Jim says right - the birds should be made the subject, and framed/cropped accordingly.

Prefer that one Rense but I may have gone slightly more on the crop. JIM

Would you crop more from the bottom too, or only from the left?
And thanks, of course!!

Nothing from the bottom IMO Rense. It does add to the shot. JIM

The cropped version looks wonderful - although I might have taken a bit more off the left (but then what do I know?).

Great job, Rense, as usual.
