Five Moods in a Minute
Posted By: Sailor, 11-18-2009, 06:37 AM

A couple of evenings ago, my granddaughter was playing in and on a bed in a spare room. I snapped several pictures with DA 40 (ISO 1600), and each seem to project a different mood.

Very good character study of your grand-daughter! I envy you a willing and photogenic model - the only kid I get to photograph on a regular basis is an incredibly rambunctious three-year-old that I have to bribe to sit still for 10 seconds

Nice series Jer. She's a cute girl. But I thought she was your great-great-great granddaughter you old fart!

Good thing you married much, much, much, much younger than yourself.

Jer, she is destined for Hollywood. You have another wonderful set of memories, treasure them because they grow up way too fast.

Hey - K - thanks so much. She improvised the poses, I just pulled the trigger.

To recall the words of Rodney Dangerfield, "I'm so old, every time I walk by a cemetary, guys with shovels start chasing me." Seriously, thanks much for the kind words.

No kidding, Henirich. My younger daughter (SailorsKid on the forum) is now engaged, defending her Ph.D. thesis at Ohio State next week and - assuming success - moving on to Stanford for a post doc. I remember clearly her presenting the same kind of antics 22 years ago as I captured here.

Thanks - a montage is a very good idea; I'll just have to learn how to do one (my daughter will know).

I said nothing! Honestly, she went through all of these poses on her own - seriously. Maybe - just maybe - she's as smart as her Grampa . . . . er . . . . I mean Granma.

Yes, I like them all, but especially the solemn look. You must have a lot of patience. My baby niece won't sit still and just wants take the camera! Hey I said, I know my K10 is no longer worht much, but its all I have!
