It was a dark and rainy day

The Desert Botanical Garden had arranged a photo hike on October 14 in the West Fork area in Oak Creek Canyon, Arizona. We got rained out, unfortunately, but I did get a couple of shots in. I like these two in particular.

*istD, FA24-90mm. ISO 800 and 400, respectively.

Very nice in deed. That reminds me to head to the country as well.

Nice Job Ole,
The shots are great, I'm sorry to hear you got rained out. I think it would have been a very nice photo opp., from the few pictures you posted I would say.

I like both here but I think your first shot is the best I like the way the water winds it's way out from the colorfull rock formation.

Good Shooting.
Cheers: David

Ole, did you selectively postprocess the first picture for extra contrast in the bottom part, or did the scene just look like that?

Edit: I just looked at it again, at work, and it looks fine. Must be a calibration issue at home.

I lowered the highlights and then added contrast overall. It was raining, and the pictures are rather "flat" right out of the camera, so I added some "snap".
