At Yoyogi Park in Tokyo, I asked a couple sitting on a bench to take a picture of my girlfriend and I against the background of a pond with a tree in the center of the shot.

I was happy with that shot until we walked away and I looked back. The couple we asked were still sitting on the bench and I saw that the composition of them facing the tree was much nicer than a "look! we were there" shot. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

More a conceptual shot than a personal one - good framing and composition.
The lines of the floorboards are pleasantly arranged in the image also.
Where I'm wishing for more is in the colour and contrast department. The sky is unfortunately very bright, making these less favourable, although I do like that there is little in the way of harsh shadowing.
