Modern Angle
Posted By: goddo31, 11-24-2009, 06:26 AM

Hi,

Unfortunately I haven't had much time to devote to photo-taking recently...
However I thought I would have a go at something a bit different (for me).
Comments welcome, you are well entitled to harshly C&C this if you want

Modern Angle (click for larger)

Photo is part of a new modern-styled coastal cafe or restaurant.

I do dig it, Jason. I love stark, edgy shots in B&W.

Yes, nice, edgy and somewhat bold. Let the oblique horizontals dance with oblique verticals! Music please...

You've probably captured this scene as good as you can do, mate.
The lighting and B&W conversion is also spot on.
But I lost interest in the subject matter quickly - that's just a reflection of my own bias on what makes a photo captivating.

The lines, patterns and composition arrangement is all there, though.

Thanks mate, it made me think of something like that too.

JMR - thanks for your comment, appreciated.

Thanks Jer. Stark and edgy was what I was going for really.

Photo was taken with DA35 ltd. I have another shot of the building which is more complete, that I might upload here later.

cheers,
