3 Related Fisheye Photos
Posted By: Christopher M.W.T, 11-28-2009, 01:32 AM

I was in a nightclub earlier today (during closing time) and I thought i'd take some random snaps.

All the lighting in this club can be individually controlled and adjusted, I was having fun with it today fiddling with all of the colours

My eyes hurt from the last shot. So much yellow!

The fisheye looks like tubs of fun, though. The colourful bokeh looks very nice.

Autofocus and wide open at f3.5 for yellow one.

Suprisingly there isn't much in the way of CA.

Great use of the fisheye! The distortion and vibrant colors definitely gives the feel of being drunk inside the club; especially with the shot glass and liqour, it really makes you want more!

What car is it in that pic btw? It looks nice.

The car is a GM Holden SS Commodore ute. Has an LS2/Gen IV V8 in it.

The car is unique to Australia however its Sedan version is or was been exported to the US as the Pontiac R8.

Actually I hated that car photo I thought i'd try again and follow a tutorial PP for car photography.

I followed this tutorial http://www.carphototutorials.com/our_60_second_workflow_on_automotive_photos.php

First time I finally figured out how to use the levels tool properly lol. Also using my laptop touchpad made it somewhat hard to properly do the layer mask, but I managed.

I like all but the last photo of the car. May I suggest the reason these images are good is because of the composition and the great balance between the striking colours and the elements and not because of the wide angle lens.

I'd sorta agree, composition is one thing but a wider angle lense allows you to be more creative with the angles and view point imho.

Colours galore and interesting perspectives in the first series.
A good use of the FE.
Well done.
