Late Fall in Tennessee is a great time for birds, and a great time to get out and photograph them. Here are a few recent shots from in & near home. Would be delighted for any feedback/critique!
Lots of Black Vultures congregating along our lake shore. These two were sunning in a Sycamore tree.
Titmice are busy in the young woods, in mixed flocks with many other small insect-eating and seed-eating birds.
It's easier to spot the Pileated Woodpeckers when the leaves are down.
And our Tennessee State Bird - Mockingbird - is very busy these days defending the berry thickets.
