Low light candids (f1,2 content)
Posted By: the swede, 12-02-2009, 01:12 PM

Since i got the 55mm 1,2 lens, i have been devoted to keeping it mounted on the camera at all times. It has been both hard and educating to me. The hardest parts was the indoor candids at kids partys and stuff. 55mm is way to tight for indoor candids.

1/50sek f1,2 ISO-800

1/40sek f1,2 ISO-200

These two is from a kids party

1/40 sek f1,2 ISO-400

1/50 sek f1,2 ISO-400

No hard PP done, only basic adjustments.

Your warning of f/1.2 content makes me think we should have a separate category for classifying f/1.2 images being posted, just like NSFW!

Decent results you've got here. The DoF is sooo thin...

Someone else here made a similar (f* content) warning, so i thought it would be good to do that to. Not to put people of though but mostly to "lure" them in.

There is however the wonderful "f1,2 only" thread in the Lens section, wich is a great thread and i always post there to.

I actually leave it on when it is not the best lens for the job.., I like the magic!

Great shots! #2 and #4 are my favourites, however they are all well done. I would love an F1.2 lens to play with... All credit to you, the photographer for taking these images.
