Very nice, I prefer the 1st one for the wing details that can be seen in it. The last one seems a bit soft, and the flash is harsher than in the other two, IMHO.

#1 is bright and colourful, but #1 has all the detail.
Nice one.

Thank you for your comments. Slow shutter speed with f11 to 16 was used, dual flash lights and tripod helps to ensure stability. I have to use either a monopod or tripod for this lens, maybe cos of my age..., heavy though.

I like no2 for the array of colours with the eyes and body. You captured those points nice and sharply with detail.

Thank You, Frank..

Another one shot with A200 macro. Bigger fly, about 1/2 an inch for this, matured compare to others.

Second one below was shot with reverse ring adapter M28 f2.8 and the magnification is probably more than 2 times. handheld and flashlight was used. UNCRPOPPED.

Awesome captures. How did you get it to sit so still for you?

The latter shots were the adult flies, matured and not as sensitive to burst of flashlights. It allows me to come as close as 2 to 3 inchs and with burst of flash lights, remained in position.
