Summer at Mindarie Marina
Lens: 35mm Camera: K200D ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/750s Aperture: F8

Hi,
Just thought I would share a few simple photos of the nearby Mindarie Marina. It was a beautiful day here on Saturday, albeit hot, so I felt compelled to go for a quick photo-walk. The DA35 does well as a walk-around lens, the only problem is that I can't help but think that a nice DA15 would be a great companion to it...

Comments welcomed.

1. Walking down to the Marina

2.

3. These guys were slowly retrieving their boats, in between beers

4.

cheers,

Considering the ground is white here and the temp is -16°C headed down to -27°C, your images look very inviting.

Thanks Jan and Steve.
Steve, I thought these would seem inviting to some of the Pentaxians from North America Saying that, I would love to see some snow.

I just heard that my sister is heading up to the northern-most city in Sweden, apparently it's over 100 miles deep into the Arctic circle...

cheers

Nice photos.
I'm quite often down at the Marina (usually at The Boat sinking a few) or Quinns Rocks taking photos might bump into you one day.

Thanks Falcons.
If I see someone else down there wielding a Pentax I'll try and say hello. Definately a good place to sink a few, I was doing that just last night.

cheers,

Gosh, Jason - this marina reminds me so much of the ones in our area (except for our dirty water). Very nice images of a way of life I deeply enjoy.

Thanks Jer.
I often have you in mind when I post sea-side images such as these. I'm not surprised that the marina is similar to the ones in your area.
Regarding the water, is yours quite polluted or something?

I am lucky in that this marina is really on the fringes of Perth, so the environment is still very fresh. In Australia we are quite lucky in general, although our river in Perth is quite dirty.

cheers
