First shots with new K7 and Sigma 18-50 EX DC Macro
Posted By: Workingdog, 12-20-2009, 11:36 AM

I'm pretty happy with these first attempts using the new equipment. The Sigma may not be a true macro but close focusing sdistance puts the subject just a few inches in front of the lens. What do you all think?

Cool antique timepiece.
Slight loss of contrast clarity but nicely captured.

What does "loss of contrast clarity" mean? Should I have bumped up the contrast in PP or maybe lower the gamma? Photos were taken at F9 at ISO 500. No noise reduction in PP. The crystal is a little cloudy from age and that is why the face is not a sharp as the inner works.
