a few from dawn at Southwold (East Anglia, UK the the other day)
Lens: 18 (mainly) Camera: K-m Photo Location: Southwold ISO: 100

Doing a year long photography course - so up early (for me) the other morning at 6am - to get to Southwold for 7.30ish am (just before sunrise) on Icy / Snowy roads.........

Here's a few......... C&C welcome, be as kind or as harsh as you like (it's the best way for me to improve)

Daylight Come

Dawn over the "Royal" Beachhuts

Lighthouse - The colours in this photo are exactly as came out of the camera

A glorious sunrise with the sun reflecting and refracting off the cloudband above (about 30 mins between sun popping up and disappearing into the clouds...... running around the town like backside on fire!!)

Pier at dawn.

50 second exposure using a 10 stop ND filter...........

The Royal Beachhuts again - this time a week later and snow on the ground.......

Some other beachhuts

Thanks for looking, and be as harsh as you likewith C&C............

Of the royal beachhuts, the last one is most striking.
Colour is the major feature of the scene and it is best to bring this out in the image.
Even more compelling would be a dus.ky sky with illuminated clouds and a closer perspective with a wider range lens.
Others are good travel shots too - just watch your colour casts - you will need to adjust them to reduce the intensity of the overpowering yellow hues in the sunset shots.

Thanks for the comments,

trouble with dusk is that here at the momnet about 3.30pm local time, (generaly grey ) and those pics were taken staight into the sun........ at dawn in the summer, sun would be up, far to the left at about 4am..............

also, none of the pics above have a sunset......... all were sunrise

however, I love the idea of having to buya 10-20mm and getting really close up!!!.... watch this space!

I love nr 4. Lovely colours, really sharp. Beutiful stuff.

Incidently, what camera and lens did you use for nr. 4?

I really like 'pier at dawn'. Composition is nice, subdued color is also beautiful.
