Christmas Eve in the Pacific Northwest

took a drive up a mountain road to well, quite frankly, get away from my family for a few hours =)

Please give any tips/ideas for proccessing these photos. I am horrible at deciding what to do next and right now, my monitor is messed up so what I see may not be what you see.

(looking at the preview, they look strange until you click on them to view in larger size)

Nice shots, I quite like #3, perhaps just because it is different from the rest.

In the other shots, I think a polarizing filter might help with bringing out the sky a bit against the trees and mountain.

Beautiful, I like #3 the best. #2 and #4 are a toss-up for second. The interesting lighting of #4 keeps me looking.

I hope you don't mind, but I took the liberty of having a go at the picture of the branch with ice. It's the one that stood out the most. I did a small levels correction, adjusted HSL a bit, spot healing brush on the bright spots, cropped, and that was it. I'd also normally sharpen it a bit, but that's academic for this discussion.

I use a good scotch or a strong European beer to "get away from it all" - depends who I'm with.
