All shot with an M 135mm 2.5. Going for a washed out, flared look in the first two, something crisper in the third.

I prefer the crisp version of the 3rd. I would try to stamp out those stray hairs behind the nose and mouth, though.

I pretty much agree with this and I'd also advocate taking a portrait crop of #2. Keep up the experimentation with flare though: I think you may be on to something--but getting control of it may be difficult.
