Crappy first astro shot

I really need to learn how to stack and process. But hey, it's *something*. My first ever attempt at tracked long exposure.

Thanks guys -- I really need to get more data in the image though, the horsehead and the flame are way too faint. Brand new at this stuff so hopefully will get a little better.

I am amazed that my mount can track for 4 minutes at 300mm unguided without problems...

That it is. I dragged the 8" reflector outside earlier this evening and just sat and admired all the "stuff" near the Orion nebula...
