1st try at night photography . Weather was beautifull (14 Far / -10 Cel) but changed while I was on my way to the city. Winds came up and the light, big flakes falling when I took off became the start of a little snow storm when I arrived

.
Still a beautifull night, on a New Year's week-end in Montréal. As I mentioned,
this is my 1 try at night photography so bear with me....had my fingers frozen by the wind

I still think it came out ok
Skies turned brownish because sky was covered (snowing) and street lights are sodium based so they give beige/brown lights and YES, I KNOW, I still have little problems with my focus
#1 Skating rink in the Old Port. I went closer to take shots of the skaters but it was way too dark.
#2 Marché Bonsecour in the Old Port. Years ago it used to be the market of the city. Everything was sold there, from horses, food, weapons to machinery. Today, it holds some shops and boutiques.
#3
#4 Old Montreal, on the corner of place Jacques-Cartier and St-Paul. Today it holds a restaurant.
#5 Old Montreal : one of the light post. I tried to capture the snow flakes falling into the light but, as I explained, the wind came up but I decided to try the shot anyway
#6 Downtown : one of the oldest store in town
#7 Me......goofing around. Since we're in the middle of the International Junior hockey tournament.......I decided to stand my ground and show my affiliations
