Isolation Vision (macro, nature) [10x800res imgs in two posts]
Posted By: Asad_Masede, 06-19-2007, 12:02 PM

Not much of a theme behind these images, taken as I go places; I take my camera with me *almost* everywhere I go and shoot random, isolated images as I see them. Variety of lenses used, but mostly the DFA50 Macro.

Red cluster: DFA50/2.8 + AF-540FGZ:

A bit of yellow: again the DFA50 plus the 540:

For the spiral fans, don't know if it's all in focus, though: same setup as the above two:

The biggest slug I've ever seen! Again 50 macro and the flash:

"Hmm...what am I doing here and how do I get off?" DFA50+540fgz:

More to follow in the next post.

5 more...

Studying the predator: DA14/2.8 at 2.8. The lens was almost touching the mosquito (which wasn't dead BTW, just brave):

The rest are all with the 31mm limited:

A rough pattern here:

I love this green smooth blur (that article isn't false, Sean! ):

I just love this orange light!:

Lastly... just a cool image IMO:

Comments and critique invited and appreciated!

Cheers,
-Asad

Hey Asad, my favorite three are the mosquito shot, the second last shot with the sun setting on the white flowers and those berries! Great shots!

Hi Asad and thank you, this is a very nice series and I am not going to pick a favourite. You do have a good eye for the unusual, take care,

Heinrich

Hi Heinrich, thanks for the compliment and I'm happy that you enjoyed these images, random shots from the places I go day-to-day.

Cheers,

Thanks James, glad you enjoyed them. DA14 is on par with the 31 as far as my favoritism goes. :-)

Cheers,

Hi Asad!

All I can say is WOW!

Okay, well one more comment. It takes talent to make a mosquito look that good!

LOL - Yes it is, Asad!!

I took a trip to the excellent local arboretum - and I took the FA*85/1.4 and the 31 Limited. I'm pretty much set, no?
