B&W or Color

Here are three from this afternoon. I am trying to decide between the first two. BW or Color. Leaning towards the color. The third is the same field but use the wide angle versus the 70-200 on the first image. Cheers JIM

Colour version for me Jim. The B&W conversion is strong and vibrant but loses some of the life that the colour one exhibits.
#3 is lovely and crisp.

It doesn't hurt to explore all the options mate. Of the two, I'm veering towards the B&W because of the contrast.

BTW Jim, is this a crop, it feels a little tight in the frame to me?

Update: B&W

No crop Gary. Shot at 200mm. I have a couple more shot at 150 range that may open the shop a bit. JIM

I'm assuming you went with the first version because the tree is de-centered.
Personally I like the second version (in B&W), having a bit of space around it gives the whole picture a bit more depth and I like the fact that there's a little more foreground.

I don't suppose you took a landscape version with the tree off to one side did you? You know me, I like to explore all the options.

The second bw version is definitely better for me.
Curvy white birches on a nice forest textured background works nicely together.
