So..i've had two days of good weather and a joy taking pictures!
This is from day 2 from the same area. This time it was colder, temperature dropped during the night. So this morning it was -21 C.

K-7 didnt bother though.....worked flawless!

That first shot is superb. I'm going to bookmark this page so I can come back and look at it when it hits the high 30's in Melbourne this weekend

Thanks! Yes its quite cold. Cant stay still for long, got to move all the time to keep warm. Especially in the feets. The face is no biggie though. I managed to shoot with gloves all the time, and also change lenses with gloves. I tried once to hold the camera without gloves.......will never do that again

I missed these, thinking I had seen them before. Really nice! I have one suggestion I learned the hard way. When dealing with snow scenes or other scenes of extreme reflectivity I bracket by one third in the direction I want to go. A little nuance of over exposure can help retain lightness in a subject and help bring out things like mist. bETTER IN THE CAMERA THAN LATER IN pp. It's only pixels. But these are wonderful.

Thanks! And good advice. I learned that i needed to pull exposure comp to +0.7 to get somewhat better snow. Against the sun was harder though...
