Soon after I sold Sigma 24/2.8 AF I was out there for another 24mm lens. I really see this focal length on APS-C camera. Some people don't but I do...
Anyway, there was a minty A24/2.8 for nearly £300 which I wasn't willing to pay and since I decided I'll be sticking with SMC lenses from now on I took my chances with SMC P 1:2.8 24mm, yes the K series' second version of 24.
In review section I read that some like the Sigma better and that it's sharper.
So I was bit anxious. At 24mm and "only" f2.8 it's not the easiest to focus, but I'm getting used to it. It may not be as sharp as the Sigma but it's not far off, BUT the rendering of this lens just blows Sigma off the water. Hands down, the contrast, colors, and general feel to pics from this lens is WAY better than from the Sigma (at least my copy).
Here are 4 pics from my first proper shoot(s) with this lens. It happened on 04/01/2010 in the morning (before work) and during my lunch.
Hope you'll enjoy them, any C&C are more than welcome!

PS: 1.2 & 4 are PPed but #3 is practically as shot with only minimal sharpening (for web) and little boost in saturation
