First "Sports" Capture - So Glad for 4.7 FPS
Camera: K-x Photo Location: BOYZ IN DA HOOD
Posted By: joodiespost, 01-09-2010, 08:41 PM

Skateboarding.

I saw two kids skateboarding and I wanted to put my K-x' burst mode to some good use.
Set the TV @ 320 and ISO was I think at or around 200. This is my first ever "sports"
shooting I told them I'd email them the photos and I did. The kid in blue had the balls
to ask me to sell him my camera lol

These are done with my new DA 55-300 and Cropped ^^

Good use of the fps.
Nice ones.
The PP work in #1 is apt.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Ash, I could have done a better job with prefocus. I set it to MF and totally forgot I moved to take the shots from different angle

Number 1 in particular is a good action shot, I'm with Ash; the PP and the background works well.
I'm sure the kids will be pretty happy to see these shots.

Wow I really like it, awesome selective coloring. Big difference between number 3 and 4.

Killer series here - especially the processed ones. Amazing the difference that makes. #1 is a great action shot, but #2 is too and also really defines the sport (and makes the plates in my arms ache (though I didn't break my arms skating, I can sympathize))
