Lovely Ladies
Camera: K-x ISO: 3200
Posted By: nate_b, 01-10-2010, 05:02 AM

These lovely ladies happen to be my wife and daughter (sure, I'm biased) While no more than a couple of snapshots from tonight, they demonstrate what makes the K-x a great first DSLR for me. I love that I'm able to spontaneously capture quality available light images of my family with the out-of-camera jpegs. Having always hated using flash on my previous point and shoots, and having not yet taken the time to learn RAW development, the K-x is a revelation. Both of these photos were taken with the kit lens at ISO 3200, in-camera noise reduction set to "low," and some post processing done in GIMP (no NR, however). Thanks for looking, as always.

Lucky man you are, Nate.
Good candids.
Enjoy taking their portraits and work on different lighting styles.

Thanks for commenting, cupic & Ash.

Cupic - A wise man once told me, "When Mom isn't happy, no one is happy. When dad isn't happy, no one cares." Words to live by, my friend

Ash - I certainly consider myself a lucky man in light of my family. As well you should with your beautiful family. Thanks for the kind words, and I do look forward to maybe trying out formal portraiture of the family in the future.
