Came accross a nice church when I was in Bergen, but I just couldn't get a good shot of it. this was the only one I kept, but I was just wondering what people thought of the edit. all changes were made in Apple Aperture.

#2 has more brightness to the subject matter and a more dramatically rendered sky despite the blown highlight.

I like the increased brightness in #2 and IMO the perceived increase in visible detail in the subject. It does look to me like there is a slight halo around the church in #2, like from a 'faux' HDR effect or something? To me that's a little distracting.
Apart from that I agree with Ash

Not too bad in version 2. I agree with Ash's comments. How about this?
It's fairly small image and there's a ton of artifacts but you get the idea.
