Wedding & Reception

Here's a few from the wedding I shot last week. I'm already missing the sun and warm weather! I shot with a mix of my 50, 135, 16-50 & 50-135. I'm really looking forward to whatever's replacing the K7 with the ISO performance (or better) from the Kx.

Everything up to the reception (not counting the bride/bridesmaids) was shot natural light. I lit the reception with umbrellas in key spots (L shaped area) for the arrival, first dance & cake cutting. Then I used a bracketed 540 with different techniques for different times (also doing natural light for a few more portraits). This was a 12hr event... man was I tired at the end of the night.

Most of these are excellent Jason.
#5, #8-13 and #18 are all beautifully framed and captured.
Well done.

thanks! a lot of the light decisions were reactionary to someone else's time table that i wasn't privy to (not fun).

Generally I'm not a big fan of wedding photos, they tend to have a "sameness" about them, and can be more of a record of the stresses of the day rather than the joy.

But I'm glad I looked at these. The emotion, the sheer joy and the passion captured is priceless, I hope they appreciate what you have done for them.
Cheers.
