Sorry folks, the rest of the info is on my other computer. I did use the DA*300 and near full zoom.

the PP I did was to adjust the contrast and I removed a tree from behind the left most tine on his antlers to let the antler show more prominently.

A tough exposure to get right. Lots of shadows being cast amidst the snow - a metering nightmare!
Nice rendition, but would do well with selective dodging and burning to do away with the blown highlights and bring out the subject of the image.

Ash, interesting comment - thanks for the feedback. I hadn't thought of that. In fact, I had moved around a bit to play with the angle of the shadows as he moved to get the right effect.

Roxndox- it was a tough season throughout upper North America for whitetail season. Our group only had one like this guy - way too warm and the rut wasn't on.

I took this after the season though
