The colors in the sky are amazing. Great shots. #1 to me really catches my eye.

That first one is stunning Jim!
Could use some lighting up of the foreground, or not?

Thanks Rense. With the sky being as dark as it was I didn't want it to look to bright on the foreground. Its a balance I always struggle with. JIM

The same here. Often I try using the graduated filter in LR, but most of the time I overdo. But in this case, I think I would do it... But it's your photo, of course !

Thanks Rense. I do try to not over power te background or foreground with brightness or contrast as it takes the image to far from the look as seen. It is bordering but still ok. Better vote for your version. Its goin up on PPG!!! JIM

Have you seen this one Jim: Artists – Stand Up for Your Art!? It's worthwhile reading! Don't know if landscape photography is about recording what we saw.... I don't say the opposite, just don't know...

I have printed it to read later Rense. Thanks JIM

PS: If I thought it was too far, I wouldn't have entered it on PPG! JIM

Love the first picture (the original, unlightened foreground)!

I think the foreground light matches the background light, and the edited second version looks unnatural. No pun intended.

Its only a matter of taste

I would rather light upp the whole picture, just a litle though.
